Dave Datta

Mr. Datta has a bachelor's degree in Computing Science from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and a Masters Degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He was formerly Assistant Director of Academic Computing and Networking at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. Mr. Datta is one of the pioneers of music information on the Internet.

During his tenure at Parkside, he created and maintained the "University of Wisconsin-Parkside Music archives", the first Music information archive on the Internet, which included the well known "UWP Lyrics Archive". These archives were available via Gopher and FTP from 1989 to 1997 when he moved to the All Media Guide (AMG).
