Le Prado, Cécile
Cécile was born in 1956 in Bretagne. She lives and works in Paris. She is particularly interested in soundscapes. She has created sound installations, and has also created scores for film, dance, and theatre. She has collaborated with GRM GRM (Groupe de Recherche Musicale de l'Institut national de l'audiovisuel), and with IRCAM (Institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique/Musique du Centre Georges Pompidou).
She is visiting professor at CNAM (Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers), in the Computer Department. She is a member of CEDRIC (Centre d'Etude et de Recherche en Informatique du CNAM), and oversees sound pedagogy for the Jeux Vidéo et Media Interactifs DESS programme. In 1996 she was awarded the Prix Imagina Monaco. She composed the music and sounds for the synthesised images of Film Bruges, by Christian Boustani.
In 2002 she was awarded the Prix du Festival du Court Métrage Clermont-Ferrand (sound creation, for the film Le conte du Monde Flottant, by Alain Escalle.
