* 1953 born in Montréal, Canada. * Studied music theory and composition in Canada and Paris. * 1979-85 member of the improvisation group SONDE (Montréal), European tours 1984 and 1985. * 1984-86 music director of the gallery Tangente, Montréal. * 1987-1996 frequently worked as independent composer at the electroacoustic studio of the Technische Universität Berlin. * 1988-89 Canada Council Paris Studio for musicians. * 1990 guest of the DAAD Berliner Künstlerprogramm. * 1991 artist in residence on the theme of Virtual Reality at the Banff Centre for the Arts, Alberta, Canada. * 1992 guest composer at Künstlerhof Schreyahn (Germany) ; nominated for the Computer Music Association Commission Award. * 1992-96 lecturer on sound installation at the electroacoustic studio of the Berlin Technical University. * 1993 Composition grants from the Senatsverwaltung für Kulturelle Angelegenheiten Berlin and the Heinrich-Strobel-Stiftung of the German Südwestfunk. * 1995 Canada Council grant (intermedia) ; guest composer and lecturer at the Institut für Elektronische Musik, Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst, Graz. * 1996 Brandenburg Prize for Visual Arts ; Composition grant from the Heinrich-Strobel-Stiftung of the German Südwestfunk.
