In the context of the conference-debates and the exposition spaces, IRCAM will welcome speakers from the industrial, research, and institutional sectors, who will present their recent work. These events will continue throughout the weekend, by way of scientific conferences and 'open days' on the theme of new instruments. |

he scientific programme proposes different exchanges focussing on the latest advances in music technology research, and on its implications for the general public and sound and music professionals. The first edition of Resonances emphasises the theme of access to musical content, which represents a major strategic focus for IRCAM, as well as the music industry in general. The availability, on a global scale, of digital transmission networks, is in effect upending not only traditional music distribution methods, but also the ways and means of listening to and presenting musical works.
